Linking a JSON-formatted Text File to Your AE Project

1. Create a JSON-formatted text file with your chosen application. See Setting up a JSON-formatted Text File for formatting information.

2. In the Templater panel, in Batch Assets, enter the absolute path of your text file into the Data source field. Alternatively, click the … button to select a file.

   WARNING  In instances where you are using an extremely large data set, Templater may hang while it parses the JSON file. If this is an issue, we suggest splitting your data into multiple files, or consider using number of files, or moving to a server-based remote JSON data source.
