Storing Assets References within the AE Project File

You can use project file presets to store the Data source, Footage folder, and Output folder references within your After Effects project template file. Following the steps below will speed up the process of working with a template that has already been rigged and opened in AE.

  1. Open your AE project.
  2. In the Templater Panel, in the Batch Assets group, input a Data Source, Footage Folder and Output Folder.
  3. In the Templater Panel, click Save.
  4. The next time you open the AE project, click the Load from Project button in the Batch Assets group of the Templater Panel. Your previously selected Data source, Footage folder, and Output folder references will load automatically.
