Setting up an AE Project for Use with Templater

As you plan and create your AE video template file, decide which layers will receive data from the data source. See Dynamic Layers to note what types of layers support dynamic content. Follow the steps in Mapping Templater Data to Layers to make your layers dynamic.

After mapping data to layers, identify which layer properties will use expressions that need access to Templater's job data. See Using Templater Data in Expressions to learn how to map data to expression code.

Optionally, if you choose to use the Flags feature to swap sources of composition layers with other project compositions, note the project composition names for use in the data source.
