Connect Projector to a Data Source
Projector can connect to a data source for video customization, just as Templater can. In fact, with the full suite of Dataclay, LLC tools, you can use the same data source for video projects from beginning to end. Currently, Projector supports either QUE or Google Sheets as a data source. You can only use one data source per payload.
Configure QUE as the payload data source
- In the Data Source section, select your data source from the drop-down.
- Click Setup.
- If you're not already signed in to QUE, click Sign In in the upper right corner of the QUE Settings screen. Then follow the on-screen instructions to sign in.
-
If you configured the project to include Exporting and selected the Enable AEP rendering setting, skip this step. Otherwise, for Video asset file extension, select a value from the drop-down. This is the file extension for files that should be processed by Projector.
- Specify the jobs you want to process by selecting the radio button for All ready jobs or Ready jobs in selected campaigns.
- If you specified for Projector to process all ready jobs, click Save. You are finished with this task. Otherwise, continue with the following steps.
- Select a Campaign from the drop-down of your existing QUE campaigns.
- If you don't want to include all the jobs in the QUE campaign, you can filter down to a subset. To do so:
- Click the Filter drop-down.
Select the checkbox for the filter you want to use. You can choose from:
- ID: Allows you enter the ID property key from a single JSON object in a QUE campaign.
- Render Status This filter is not currently used.
- Stream Status: This filter is not currently used.
- Date Created: Allows you to limit the project to specific JSON objects in your campaign based on the date the object was added. You can specify a date range by entering different starting and ending dates.
- Complete any additional information based on the filter. For example, if you're filtering by a date, enter a start and end date.
- Click Save.
