Installing Templater

1. Ensure that your user account for your operating system has administrator privileges.
2. Quit After Effects.
3. Unzip the Templater download archive (.zip) to a temporary directory.
4. Navigate to the installer file for your license type and operating system.

   WARNING  Trials should always use the Standard installer. If you've installed the Floating license version of Templater without a license, you will receive an invalid filter ( 25 :: 3 ) error message when you try to add the plugin to a layer.

5. Double click the installer file to begin installation.
6. Follow the installation wizard prompts.
7. Verify installation is complete by following these steps:
1. Launch an Adobe After Effects version that received the Templater installation.
2. In After Effects CC 2018 or earlier, Open the After Effects Preferences > General page; for CC 2019 and newer, open Preferences > Scripting & Expressions. Ensure that "Allow Scripts to Write Files and Access Network" is enabled.
3. From the main menu, select Effect > Dataclay. If you find the Templater Settings effect, the native After Effects plugin is installed correctly.
4. From the main menu, select Window. If you see the Templater 2.jsxbin menu item, the panel file is installed correctly.
