Uninstalling Templater

WARNING  Uninstalling Templater does not cancel any recurring subscription payments to Dataclay, LLC, its partners, or resellers. You must work directly with your vendor to cancel any recurring charges to your account. For example, to fully cancel a subscription purchased from Dataclay, you must login to your account, navigate to the Licenses & Billing page, then go to the Billing tab to find the Manage Orders and Account link. From here you can cancel any recurring subscriptions and optionally remove your payment method under the "Payment Method" tab. If you purchased from aescripts + aeplugins you must login to your aescripts account.

WARNING  Uninstalling Templater does not automatically free up your Templater license to be used on a new machine. Please deactivate Templater before uninstalling, or manage your license activations via our website.

On Windows:

1. Quit After Effects.
2. In Windows Settings (modern), go to Apps > Apps & features.
   or…
   In the Windows Control Panel (classic), select Programs and Features.
3. From the list, select the version of Templater you want to uninstall.
4. Click Uninstall, and confirm that you want to uninstall.

On macOS:

1. Quit After Effects.
2. In the Applications folder, open the Dataclay folder.
3. Double-click the Templater Uninstaller app.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions.

NOTE  After uninstalling, if you open an AE project file with layers which have the Templater Settings effect applied, you will get an error message from After Effects stating that it can no longer find the native effect. You can safely ignore this error.

Uninstalling Templater installed by aescripts + aeplugins manager app

If you installed Templater via the aescripts + aeplugins manager app, the Uninstall option in the manager app doesn't work. You will need to manually uninstall Templater with the above instructions for your operating system.
